Disable Automatic Translation of Sidebar Widgets
Aug 22, 2012 10:08 pm by SteckInsights
I have a featured page widget that pulls content in from a page of my site, but am finding that gTranslate Pro is pulling the English (initial version) and translating it... instead of pulling the manually edited text for the language I'm translating into (Portuguese). I know I can probably manually edit the text, but that would be disrupted the next time the widget updates. Any ideas? Thanks! Not sure I understand what you want to do exactly. Can you provide a live example?

PROBLEM: Plugin starts translating without user selection. DESCRIPTION: go to http://gr9zev.info/blog (not an ad). I have the same problem. Page is being translated automatically that's insane. For example if it's in German and auto-translation kicks in, some of "acquired" words from English which SUPPOSED to be in English get translated as well. SOLUTION: On Page Load Plugin MUST DO NOTHING. Actual Translation MUST commence only when user has effectively SELECTED the Language from a drop-down.

No, cache was disabled all the time, GTranslate did also break some images, so I'm not using it until everything is fixed.

Hi, Your website http://gr9zev.info/blog is in the subfolder and in this case you should install the general version. Here is the documentation https://gtranslate.io/docs/57-gtranslat ... on#general Please let me know if you have any questions. Also if you want I can install it for you.
